Trees...

I wonder a lot
how life would be
if I lived not on ground
but up in a tree

The branches and brambles
my cupboards they'd be
and leaves and the trunk
my floor I would see

No neighbors I'd have
but the creatures that live there
squirrels, and chipmunks
and their nests made of hair

Life would be simple
I'd enjoy all the silence
not stressing and worrying
about mindless violence

I'd be all alone
but the animals my friends
and live life in harmony
until it did end

But a tree is not home
and it never will be
but sometimes its fun
to climb one and see
